Fall Looks with the Luvit App
My (second) favorite season is here and I’m so excited to go shopping for it! I love shopping for fall weather because I feel like with all the layering, you can be a little more creative with your outfits. In the summer, I’m a bit boring. I choose rompers or dresses, easy things that I can throw on without having to think.
In the fall, unless I’m tired and just throw on jeans and a sweater, there’s so much more thought involved in what to wear. You want to wear something that looks good but that also keeps you warm. The obvious answer is sweaters but it can be hard (or boring!) to wear the same sweater over and over again.
Shopping online gets harder too, because how can you get a good feel of how a sweater would look? But honestly, I do about 99.99% of my shopping online. The only time I go into a store is to return something that I’ve bought online. It’s just the way to go today. I have a folder on my iPhone devoted to shopping apps (I’ve definitely done drunk Zara shopping!) and I love scrolling through items that I’ve saved on my favorites list.
I recently heard about Luvit App (find it here), and like a true millennial, downloaded it. It’s basically an app that lets you create your own style feed. Think a curated shopping list, where you can also find out new brands and. . .best part. . .get CASH BACK on everything. As a struggling grad school student, I’m always on the lookout of ways I can save while spending (oxymoron much?) and this definitely delivers.
The other best part? You get notified any time a product you like goes on sale. I already do a longer version of this on all my other sites (Urban Outfitters, Free People, Shopbop) where I save items on a wishlist and check periodically if the prices have lowered. The fact that LuvIt App notifies you when something goes on sale makes my life so much easier. I can just heartheartheart everything and wait for those sale notifications.
Side note: I thank my mom for my miserly shopping habits. She always told me to hold out for a sale and I stand by that. Most, if not all, of my wardrobe are items that I held out on, checked obsessively, until they went on sale. Pay full price? Not me, no siree.
Check out LuvIt App here and find me on it (@michenn) so I can see what you’ve put on your Fall List!
