Oh Crap, It’s Almost Valentine’s Day!

Oh Crap, It’s Almost Valentine’s Day!

Well honestly, if I know my boyfriend and all my other guy friends, they most likely aren’t thinking of what to get their girlfriends two weeks before the big event (um, procrastinate much??) but as I am a major planner, I’ve already been thinking.

Guys are the hardest to shop for. No, seriously, they are. Either they say “Oh, you don’t have to get me anything” or they ask for the newest Playstation…where’s the middle ground??

And there’s only so many times you can get someone a bottle of cologne. I mean, my boyfriend has like three different bottles sitting on his dresser. And I’ve already bought him a really nice wallet so there goes that. So really, that only leaves one thing. . . .

It’s actually funny, I never thought my boyfriend would be a watch person. It just didn’t seem like him. He’s one of those old school, vintage and classic guys. He’s happy in Levi’s and a v-neck tee and he doesn’t need labels. In fact, the first watch he ever wore was the first watch I bought him, a Movado Bold.

Since then, I’ve bought him a few more watches and he’s loved them all. He switches them up based on what he’s wearing and he’s become a bit of a watch connoisseur. Which is why I was so happy when Daniel Wellington reached out to me because I think their aesthetic is exactly what he’s like.

Daniel Wellington watches are classic, minimal and clean. It has a mid price point (and you can use my code MICHENN for 15% off!) and it’s made of gorgeous Italian leather. It fits perfectly with Kangil’s (that’s my boyfriend!) style. He can wear it with his Levi’s and v-neck, with a nice crewneck sweater and even when he rocks his leather jacket. It fits flat on the wrist and doesn’t feel bulky and. . .well, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t pleased with how we match!

SO if you’re thinking of a present for your boo, I highly suggest a Daniel Wellington watch. The exact one I bought for him was the Dapper Bristol, 38mm which has a rose gold casing and beautiful blue hands. It’s currently $249 on the site and if you use the code MICHENN, you can get 15% off. ALSO, you receive a free cardholder when you purchase the watch and cuff.

If you have any questions, please let me know! I’ll be happy to answer them.

Me and my partner don’t swap gifts for valentines day, instead we get food, a good movie and have a quiet night in since we don’t see each other often with work and university. By the way that watch is lovely I’d wear it myself honestly lol

The watch does look very nice and simple, my husband is a minimalist when it comes to men’s accessories. I think he would like this one!

I don’t usually give gifts on Valentines day, but this might be nice for a birthday gift! Thanks for the recommendation! Hope you have a great Valentine’s Day!

  • Ah this time i=of year is approaching and fast. Just two more weeks. I think you should show love every single day and exchange gifts whenever you feel like it.

  • That watch is amazing. I love a watch as a gift, they can look so style and really make any outfit with accessories.

  • Sounds like a great idea! Watches are so simple and classic! I need to check these out.

My boyfriend is simple, but complicated at the same time. He likes shoes, hats and watches. Simple right? But it’s figuring out what works with his style that has me overthinking his gifts, haha.

I have not wear watch for years but i still miss those days when I have watch on my wrists. It is a perfect gift for your partner on valentines day and I am sure your boyfriend will love it! Do you plan to give him Daniel Wellington watch as a surprise?

  • We don’t swap gifts for Valentine’s Day, but we do exchange cards and goodies. I’m grateful for this because my husband is difficult to shop for and I have enough stress over Christmas and birthdays!

  • can’t believe too, if not for social media we would even forget the day! lol!

  • Men are generally hard to shop for and most times when asked they don’t wanna get anything.
