Nautical With Old Navy
I’ve always been a fan of the nautical look. The navy stripes and linen fabrics have always appealed to me. When I think of the style, I think of bubbly champagne, a nice breeze and relaxing on a sailboat somewhere. While the weather in NYC is not currently the best for any nautical adventures, I can still dream, right?
It’s funny, I don’t generally wear navy blue. It’s just not my favorite color. However, paired with stripes and a linen blazer, I immediately feel as if I should be transported to the cover of a Hamptons magazine. It’s just so chic.
The great thing about striped navy tops is that it can basically be paired with anything. I love it best with a white bottom, either white capris or wide legged white pants however, I thought I would switch it up and pair it with Springs hottest color, a light pink.
You can’t tell, but I was actually freezing here. This was the day before the blizzard hit in NYC. But all that admission did was make me wish I could actually be on a boat somewhere, or sitting on green grass getting my nautical on.
How do you style nautical? Is nautical even a style you like? Let me know in the comments!
