Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder

I’ve been getting spoiled with great products lately and sometimes I wonder what I’ve done to deserve it! I will readily admit, I am by no means a beauty guru. I consider myself a curious beauty user, as in, I didn’t go to school for this or spend a lot of time teaching myself & watching tutorials. I literally learn on the fly so my opinions on beauty are those of an average user. So I hope you guys get something out of this!

I had the opportunity to try out the Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Power and, I’ll be honest, I wasn’t too excited for this as I’m not of that mindset that more $$$ equals better product. I’ve been just fine with my more affordable MakeUp Forever HD product.

However. . .when I finally received this in the mail and tried it on. . .I fell in love.

First, the packaging. SO beautiful. The square packaging with the Givenchy logo. And then you open it up and there’s the beautiful pastel colors! I was afraid they would mix and become a weird brown but they manage to stay in their own little pot!

And getting past the looks, the actual result when you wear it is just as good, if not better, than my go to MUF. The result of this powder is a matte look and it definitely takes off the shine. It’s easy to use, just swish your brush in it (I use a makeup brush and not the sponge) and smash it on your face. Well, not smash, but lightly rub all over your face.

Yes, I get that the price is a little much for a finishing powder. However, I will say that the quality is amazing and, if you have a few extra dollars or want something as a present, this is definitely  a worthwhile purchase. It’s become my go to finisher (and much better than the Laura Mercier one, which I bought after reading a bunch of good reviews and ended up disliking).
